Small Business Trends along with Smallbiztechnology.com have begun taking nominations for the very first Small Business Influencer. These awards are all about honoring individual people, companies and organizations who make an impact on small business here in North America. Nominations end around July 8th, 2011.
Heres who can be nominated:
Nominees have to fit into one of these 5 categories:
- Leaders (executives, academics, government officials, or key employees who are part of companies or other organizations serving the small business market)
- Corporations (companies that provide products and services to the small business market, and non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and advocacy and support organizations)
- Journalists (individual journalists, reporters, editors, broadcasters, bloggers, podcasters, freelance writers)
- News Outlets (media companies, newspapers, magazines, broadcasting companies)
- Gurus (mavens, authors, speakers, consultants, advocates, professionals such as lawyers or CPAs)
After nominations end, the public community and a selected judging panel with be able to vote for their favorites during the month of July. 100 top influencers will be invited to attend an awards dinner in their honor.
